Triscom was established in 2008 by Tris Thorne to provide specialist electronic services to marine contractors & developers at the start of Orkney’s marine renewable energy boom. Much of this work is as hydrographic survey including underwater positioning, seabed mapping and tidal current measurement. Since these beginnings, Triscom has diversified into many other areas.
The common theme is Electronics – at the moment that means Sonar, Radar, GPS, seabed mapping, Radio telecommunications, microwave “wireless” internet, battery charging, CCTV, diesel power, mobile phones, IT, Computers, wind turbines and hydrophones. We never know what the next call will be about…
